• Do I need an account to play?

No, you can play as a guest. Signing in takes one tap with Google, Facebook, or your Bluesky handle, and it unlocks private games with friends.

  • Is detroit.games free?

detroit.games is ad-supported so you can play without paying.

If you let us match ads to your region they are worth more, which is what keeps the site free. Declining locks nothing: the whole game works either way.

  • Can I play against the computer?

Solo mode lets you play a full game against bots any time. No waiting required. In multiplayer, bots automatically fill any empty seats so a game can always get started.

  • How do I learn to play euchre?

The rules page walks through bidding, trump, bowers, and scoring in writing. If you would rather learn by playing, turn on Learning Mode when creating a solo game. The first hand explains every decision as you play, and from the second hand onward you can request a hint with a Show Me button. Learning Mode is solo only so you can take your time without slowing down other players.

  • How do I invite friends to a game?

When creating a game, you choose whether it's public or private. Right from the game setup screen you can send a direct invite to a friend.

Once you're in a game, friends who are online will get an in-game notification. For friends who are offline, you can share an invite code and a full URL they can open to join when they're ready.

  • What devices does detroit.games work on?

detroit.games works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, and mobile. No download or app install is needed.

  • Is there a mobile app?

Not yet. The web app is built to work well on mobile browsers, so you can play on your phone or tablet without installing anything.

  • What games are available?

Euchre is live now, with Stick the Dealer, Ace No Face, and Farmer's Hand as house rules, and three-handed Cutthroat as a separate game. More variations, and other card games, are planned.

  • How do I report a bug?

Let us know your favorite house rules, suggest a new feature, or let us know if you have any feedback.
